Sarah Ahiers is the author of the Assassin’s Heart duology published by HarperCollins, comprising of Assassin’s Heart and the companion sequel Thief’s Cunning. Both books were finalists for the Minnesota Book Awards and have received starred and glowing reviews from Booklist, Publisher’s Weekly, School Library Journal, and Kirkus. Her current work has been submitted for publication with Dystel, Goderich & Bourret LLC.

After earning an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ³ÉÄê University, Ahiers joined the adjunct faculty in the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program at Concordia University, Saint Paul. In 2023, Ahiers became Program Administrator for the MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ³ÉÄê.

Ahiers lives in Minnesota with her siblings, dogs, and a house full of critters. She’s an award-winning embroiderer, and when she’s not writing, she fills her time with good games, good food, good friends, and good family.
