Professional Experience

Prior to joining ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ³ÉÄê’s Counseling and Health Services, I have worked at university counseling centers at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and Minnesota State University, Mankato. I also have experience working in community mental health doing therapy and psychological testing at the Interprofessional Center in Downtown Minneapolis. A pivotal professional experience also came from the years that I worked as a Youth and Family Counselor at the Bridge for Runaway Youth, a shelter in Minneapolis with a mission of ending homelessness and reuniting families. Also at the Bridge for Runaway Youth, I worked as a Youth Counselor in their Transitional Living Program.

Professional Interests

I am so happy to be working at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ³ÉÄê University (my alma mater) because I enjoy working with college students and I particularly find many ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ³ÉÄê students to be thoughtful and passionate. I have a professional interest in identity ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ³ÉÄê, group psychotherapy, first-generation college students, relationships, LGBTQIA+ concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, and resiliency. I enjoy working with our multidisciplinary team at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ³ÉÄê’s Counseling and Health Services and I use feminist, multi-cultural, and strength-based approaches in my work.

Personal Interests

In my free time, I love listening to music, going to concerts, and trying new foods. I practice yoga and enjoy travelling with my family. My dog, Sally, loves taking me on long walks.
